“You become. It takes a long time. That’s why it doesn’t happen often to people who break easily, have sharp edges, or must be carefully kept. Generally, by the time you are real, most of your hair has been loved off, your eyes drop out, and you get loose in the joints, and very shabby. But these things don’t matter because once you are real, you can’t be ugly, except for those who don’t understand.” – Margery Williams
Becoming who you can be without breaking easily is about becoming who and what you were meant to be and do once you are real. Becoming takes us to a level of maturity, knowledge, emotional intelligence, and spiritual wisdom. It is never without causing an unexpected consequence. This becoming happens over time; it’s a process of growth and development of the true self. This work requires endurance, commitment, and a rigorous loyalty to the process, as you start to put off the old self and put on the new real self that you have been created to be.
